Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn was born in America and is a professional actress who has been working professionally for over 27 years. Talented as a thespian, she's been working in the world of professional acting over the last 27 years. She started her professional career in 1990, in a non Broadway production of The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. The following year, she was offered her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she received her big break by being a part of the film Basic Instinct as a minor character. The Firm is where she began her career as the female lead opposite Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. In the 90s she teamed up with many prominent industry actors, including Gwyneth Palow on Sliding Door Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes Julie Andrews Relative Values. In the past, she played Dr. Alex Blake in the internationally famous crime drama that is a police procedural Criminal Minds.
