Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into the style that is his own. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine, whose given name is Denise White. While she now lives in Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church where she sang and was a pianist. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on Atlanta's R&B musical scene. In 2005, she became the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls which was a stage production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became famous throughout the four performances in The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
